How to get tickets to a Racing Club match

Getting tickets to Racing Club is quite easy yet it requires you to go to a ticket office. Either go to the stadium in Avellaneda or one of the stores in Buenos Aires a couple of days before the match (midweek is the best).

Go either of these places:

Estadio Juan Domingo Perón
The corner of Avenida Adolfo Alsina and Colón.
Opening hours: 11 – 17.

Head quarters in Villa del Parque
Nogoyá 3045 in the district Villa del Parque.
Opening hours: 11 – 17.

Microcentro (merchandise shop in the centre of Buenos Aires)
Lavalle 1650.
Opening hours: 11 – 17.

If you want to attend an Racing Club match you might also consider going to a CA Independiente as the stadium is right next to (only 300 meters between). See how to get tickets to an Independiente match in this post.

How to get to Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Perón

Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Perón is located in the Buenos Aires province in a suburb called Avellaneda.

By taxi

Going by taxi is the most convenient way to go to the stadium yet also the most costly. However cab fares in Argentinas is ridiculously low (the start fare is about AR$5.80 and AR$0.68 per minute), so if your not on a budget going by taxi would be the prefered way of transportation.

The railway station “General Roca” is located eight blocks from the stadium, so that’s also an opportunity.

The train fare is approximately AR$1.20.

By public bus

Several public busses pass Avenida Manual Belgrano which is where you want to get of. The bus fare is AR$1.25 from everywhere in Buenos Aires.

Public busses (called Collectivos) that go to the stadium: 10 (from Palermo), 17 (from Recoleta), 22, 24, 33A, 33B, 54, 74, 85, 96 (from Palermo), 100B, 100C, 116, 129A, 129B, 129C, 148, 154, 178, 247, 271, 293, 295 and 373.

Each bus route can be seen on http://xcolectivo.com.ar/colectivo/

Going back after the match go to Avenida Bartolomé Mitre and catch the same bus back.

How to get tickets to a CA Independiente match

Getting tickets to Club Atletico Independiente is maybe the easiest of all Argentinian clubs, because they entered the computer age and have made ticket purchase available online.

To get tickets to Estadio Libertadores de America simply go to http://www.caientradas.com/ and click the match you want to attend. Tickets are only available for purchase in the week up to the match date, so keep an eye on match schedule.

When booking your ticket you will notice several categories in just as many price ranges. You’ll be looking for the “Invitado” tickets as “Socio” means members of the club. Naturally it’s tempting to choose the cheapest, but if you want a view to the local section with CA Independiente’s Barras Bravas, do not choose the cheapest seats as this will be above them and you won’t be able to get a great view (trust me – that’s unfortunately what I did).

If you want to attend an CA Independiente match you might also consider going to a Racing match as the stadium is right next to (only 300 meters between). See how to get tickets to a Racing match in this post.

The railway station “General Roca” is located seven blocks from the stadium, so that’s also an opportunity. I witnessed the locals pulling the emergency break when the train passed the stadium (and it literally passes right through the stadium) and jumped of. However I won’t suggest that you do this on your own.
